Glen Merryman was born in Texas and grew up in the Arkansas town of Yellville.  A small town nestled in the middle of the Ozark Mountains.  He won his first art contest at the age of 6, and has never looked back. He considers himself to be a self taught artist, having very little formal instruction.   His dedication and attention to detail shows in his work.  Over the years Glen has worked with pencil, charcoal, pastels, clay, woodcarving, wood burning and most recently, watercolors.  He really enjoys the new techniques he is learning with watercolors.  He served a short 10 year stint in the U.S. Coast Guard which has given him alot of inspiration as well as living in Kodiak Alaska.  He now resides in the state of Washington on a small ranch and looks forward to the new challenges and inspirations that lay ahead.  And last Glen thanks his mom and dad that still reside in Texas for the inspiration they provided to him to keep plugging away.   Whatever the future brings to his artwork, we're almost certain that it will be a one of a kind something special piece of work cause that's just Glen and it shows.
